--------------------------------------------------------------

Fully serviced and tested :

The heads have been relapped (resurfaced) to give them new life, demagnetized and properly realigned.

Alignment of transport and audio electronics was done with great care according to the official procedure.

Recording level is set at 320nwb/m (+4dBu nominal)

Balanced inputs and outputs on 1/4 inch TRS jacks
To get rid of the cheap RCA jacks originally fitted on B77s, and to provide a fully balanced interface to the outside world, we have retrofitted a custom-made electronic card, providing electronically balanced inputs and outputs using high performance integrated circuits (Texas instrument MC33078 op-amps for the input, THAT Corp. 1646 line drivers for the outputs). Only through-hole components are used, including gold-plated Neutrik TRS connectors.

These balanced inputs and outputs are set for a nominal +4dBU level (and step it down inside the deck to the 0dBU nominal level the B77 expects).

All modifications were made to the connector panel only and as such it is possible to fully revert it by simply replacing the connector panel. The schematic for the i/o card has been included inside the deck and we will send you a PDF version also.
