This is a 1960s Airline archtop made by Kay for Montgomery Ward, it has a spruce top with maple sides and back. It has only a few dings and scratches and is structurally very solid with no major repairs needed except a fresh neck reset. This guitar was taken care of and in nice condition.

The poplar neck is in great condition with a fixed steel rod trussrod, rosewood fretboard and typical large C carve. I gave it a  fresh 12” radius, new Jescar 47104 frets, a new bone nut @ 1-11/16" and new locking tuners. The neck is straight and now with low electric guitar-like action, it is easy and fun to play.

I installed one of my handwound Type13SC single coil “silver foil” pickups that gives an authentic classic clean, rich and full sound. Included are new pots and a new aluminum lightening bridge to replace the original straight wood bridge and the original trapeze- it intonates and stays in tune as it should.

These guitars were designed for sitting around and strumming in a different era a long time ago that had different musical demands. This is a beautiful guitar professionally rebuilt that you can plug in and strum right now- it plays great and will continue to play great for a long time.
