1976 Martin 00-28C - Natural w/ HSC

Up for sale is a beautiful 1976 Martin 00-28C in very good condition and perfect working order. Our tech just gave this a full inspection and set up so it plays wonderfully with a straight neck, low classical guitar action and it sounds exceptional.

Cosmetically, this instrument is pretty clean and has been well taken care of over the years. That’s said, it has been played so it does exhibit the typical signs of us such as: there are dings, swirling, scratches, nail/pick scratches (in the expected spot) scattered throughout. There’s also some cloudiness in a few spots on the top. The original frets look great still and have no discernible wear to speak of. See pics for condition and please excuse any reflection. 

Needless to say there are no cracks, breaks, repairs, bellying, top sag, bridge weirdness or any other kind of acoustic guitar funny business. The neck set looks fine too. The previous owner (who was mostly an electric player) swapped out the original saddle and put a shorter one in there as to bring down the action. And it’s low measuring 4/32nd’s on the bass side and 3/32nd’s on the treble at the 12th fret. It truly plays incredibly! This is one of the easiest playing nylon’s to come through the shop and it sounds wonderful. Legit classical guitar players generally prefer higher action than this so please keep this in mind. Also, a short saddle can be a sign that an instrument needs a neck reset but that is not what’s happening here as it was done on purpose. Original saddle not included.

Comes with a newer Martin hard shell case that’s very clean. The guitar weighs 3lbs 11.1oz The nut width is 2.13”. The neck thickness is .790” at the 1st fret and .935” at the 9th fret.
