David Garibaldi's , Paiste 16" 3000 Thin Crash, Unused 1250g 1980s (P #10)

David Garibaldi has retired from Tower of Power! David's innovative grooves propelled the band and helped define their unique funky sound. After an amazing 55 year run, he's putting away his Tower of Power sticks.

His ground breaking work with Tower of Power and his long list of instructional books and videos, have established him as one of the most influential drummers of our time.

David Garibaldi endorsed Paiste cymbals from the 1970s through the mid 1990s. Paiste recognized his talent early on and endorsed him, providing cymbals that complemented his crisp, articulate playing style. Garibaldi’s years with Paiste are remembered as a defining era in his remarkable career.

From the David Garibaldi Collection at Donn Bennett's Drum Vault in Seattle, WA.

This Paiste 16" 3000 Series Thin Crash was part of David Garibaldi's personal cymbal collection circa 1986. It's in near perfect condition.

The Paiste 16" 3000 Series was introduced in 1986 to replace their popular 2002 series. The demand for 2002s remained strong so the 3000 series was discontinued in 1995. Regardless of its history they are still in high demand amongst players and collectors. This cymbals history with David Garibaldi makes it even more interesting. 3000s are a dynamic cymbal celebrated for its bright, lively sound and quick responsiveness. Crafted from Paiste’s signature CuSn8 bronze alloy, it delivers a crisp attack with a smooth, shimmering decay that works beautifully for accents and fast, expressive crashes.
