David Garibaldi's Tower of Power, Paiste 16" Thin Crash, No Name, Black Letter 922g
David Garibaldi has retired from Tower of Power! David's innovative grooves propelled the band and helped define their unique funky sound. After an amazing 55 year run, he's putting away his Tower of Power sticks.
His ground breaking work with Tower of Power and his long list of instructional books and videos, have established him as one of the most influential drummers of our time.
David Garibaldi endorsed Paiste cymbals from 1978 through the mid 1990s. Paiste recognized his talent early on and endorsed him, providing cymbals that complemented his crisp, articulate playing style. Garibaldi’s years with Paiste are remembered as a defining era in his remarkable career.
From the David Garibaldi Collection at Donn Bennett's Drum Vault in Seattle, WA.
This Paiste 16" Thin Crash was part of David Garibaldi's personal collection. It remains in excellent condition with no notable issues.
I have to assume this was a prototype cymbal as there are no identifying markings anywhere on the cymbal. From the lathing I'm going to guess it's a Signature series? I'm assuming from the Serial Number: #844372 that the cymbal was made in 1988.
If you can tell me anything about this cymbal I'd love to hear from you.
Weight: 922 Grams
Includes a COA signed by the David Garibaldi.
