One of the rarest "Order" configurations of early Fender Japan—a JM66 Jazzmaster in non-catalog color Daphne Blue (DBL), with matching headstock and green cloth-lined gig bag.

Not to be confused with Sonic Blue (SBL), which is more common on later "Crafted in Japan" instruments, DBL is lighter and less saturated. (While this does not have the original paperwork, the color was determined in-person via an exact neck pocket/body cavity match to another JM66 in DBL with original paperwork.)

The finish on this example has yellowed considerably, to the point of matching its mint pickguard, and has substantial finish checking on the back of the neck.

The "Y" prefix order number in the neck pocket and heel denotes it was ordered by Yamano Music. Manufactured at the FujiGen factory in Japan.

100% fully functional.

Condition
Cosmetically the 30 year old instrument is in good shape, with a handful of dings, scratches, and finish wear commensurate with age. Circle sticker burn on the front of body, between the vibrato and pickguard.

Back of the neck has heavy finish checking, discernible to the touch. The largest chipping on the treble side, at the fifth fret. There are a few dings on the fretboard edges, on the bass side at the third and sixth frets.

Chrome hardware has patina. Pickguard has pick markings from play. Plastics have yellowed with age.

Frets have wear, primarily beneath the unwound strings in the open chord area.
