An early 70's Yamaha SB-30 short scale in great looking and playing condition. Comfortable string spacing and a perfect neck with low action, combined with the short scale, make this bass a real joy to play. The single pickup sounds huge and almost has a semi-acoustic character when you jack up the tone. A couple minor touch ups I had to improve on on one side, but they're barely visible now. These early Yamahas are sleepers on the collectors market for now, but I feel as though they arguably had the highest quality instruments before the mid-70's coming out of Japan. The carved top body, a nod to Mosrite, has a contemporary look and comfortable yet solid weight. Plays like a dream for sure. Feel free to contact me for any additional info and be sure to check out Terada Express on Reverb for more Basses of Note! Thanks for looking!
