Rikki Rockett co-founded Poison in 1983. Their debut 1986 album “Look What The Cat Dragged In” scored 3 hit singles with "Talk Dirty to Me", "I Want Action", and "I Won't Forget You" and established the band as a major force in the exploding Hollywood rock scene. They've since sold 50 million albums and just completed their massive Stadium Tour with Def Leppard, Motley Crue and Joan Jett in 2022. Rikki LOVES his drums, and like many of us, had a hard time letting them go, but ultimately wants to get them to people who will love them as much as he did. Check out this amazing collection. Every set has been lovingly taken care of and remain in excellent condition. Every drum looks and sounds fantastic. There's some amazing stuff here and we're adding more every day.
From Rikki Rockett's personal snare drum collection. This custom DW 14x8" Brass Snare Drum with Internal mounted mic was a gift to Rikki from John Good at DW. This was an experimental drum that was never put into production. There an internally mounted Shure SM57 on a May mounting system installed in the drum. There's a repaired dent on the shell under the throw off. It does not affect the functioning of the throw off. The drum remains round and does not affect the way the snares lay flat on the bottom head. There's a couple small holes by where the microphone jack is mounted. Not sure what they were from. It doesn't look like this experimental drum ever had a badge. The drum looks and sounds great! The internal mic makes mixing a breeze. Just plug your mic cable directly into the jack on the side of the drum and you're good to go.
This is a great rockin' snare drum owned and played by a rock 'n' roll legend.
