NOTE: This will be a short sale not sure how long I will have this listed for as this was a last minute decision to let go and on the fence on this sale but for the fixed asking price I‘d be convinced.
Here we have a project guitar with Lots of work to be done.
Believe this to have been originally a gold top at birth. Dated 1971-1972 is what I believe based on research. Closer to 69 with the gibson logo however they didnt stamp “made in USA” til the early 70’s.
On the body a slight groove at the bottom of the pickup cavity has been routed to accommodate humbuckers. Overall pretty good with exceptions to that and gouges by the bridge and tailpiece.
Per previous owner this was a 2nd neck break. Breaking in another area other than where it was broken the first time. Truss rod where nut sits was drilled down a bit and filled with a oak dowel to fill in that void. Neck will need somewhat lots of attention. Some missing pieces of wood as photographed on the fretboard area.
Has some good potential not sure if I want to pull the body for another les paul I have originally intended yet believe this neck and body should remain in tact for restoration. If it doesnt sell soon I’ll probably do so but in this state money talks so if it sells it sells. Will save me the headache of debates on what to do to restore the other project.
Being so it is sold as is all sales final any questions ask prior to purchasing. Again all sales final.
