This Cort Gold O8 in absolute mint condition is an all solid high-quality acoustic guitar that is part of Cort's exclusive Gold Series. It is part of a collection. It is an extraordinary, beautiful guitar, too. Just have a look at the inlay work of the bridge and fretboard.
The guitar has an Orchestra Model (OM) build shape, known for its balanced sound and comfortable playing style. It is made of solid, thermally treated (torrified) Mastergrade Sitka spruce, which Cort's ‘Age To Vintage’ process gives a sound quality normally only found on older, well-recorded instruments. It's a very responsive and full sounding guitar.
The wonderfully grained back and sides are made from solid Pau Ferro, which is prized for its tonal characteristics similar to those of rosewood.
The neck is made of mahogany and is attached to the body by a double lock neck joint, which optimises vibration transmission and thus should result in a better sound.
The fingerboard is made of ebony, which is known for its hardness, durability and clear, bright sound.
The guitar has a very thin UV varnish that supports the vibrational properties of the wood without affecting the resonance. The guitar offers a scale length of 643 mm (25.3 inches) and a nut width of 43 mm (1-11/16 inches).
It comes with a deluxe soft case that offers protection and convenience during transport.
This Cort Gold O8 is particularly attractive to musicians looking for an instrument with a mature, full sound and quality craftsmanship without paying a fortune.
