Marshall DSL40CR-C (Upgraded Speaker, Vintage Design)

Presenting this pristine Marshall DSL40CR-C – a limited run model that is a step above the basic DSL40CR.

While the beautiful cream color and vintage design is the most noticeable departure from the basic model, what really sets this amp apart is its upgraded speaker. Like its basic counterpart, this model is a 40-watt tube amp with amazing tone and a single 12-inch speaker driving it. But that’s where the similarities end.

Unlike the often-derided “V-Type” speaker that comes in the basic DSL40CR, this model comes stock with a UK-made Celestion G12 Vintage speaker – a classic and celebrated speaker from Marshall’s past that is including in many of their high-end speaker cabinets. A common thread among the countless rave reviews of the Marshall DSL40CR is the quality of its “V-Type” speaker and the benefits of swapping it out. This model solves that problem out of the box. In addition, I replaced the super short and flimsy speaker cable that came with the unit with a sturdy, $40 Monster Prolink Performer 600 Combo Amp Speaker Cable.

Amp comes with its Marshall two-way switch and power cable.
