David Garibaldi’s Tower of Power, Yamaha DS950 Drum Throne with Backrest! 2000s (Y #2)

David Garibaldi has retired from Tower of Power! David's innovative grooves propelled the band and helped define their unique funky sound. After an amazing 55 year run, he's putting away his Tower of Power sticks.

His ground breaking work with Tower of Power and his long list of instructional books and videos, have established him as one of the most influential drummers of our time.

From the David Garibaldi Collection at Donn Bennett's Drum Vault in Seattle, WA.

David Garibaldi's Yamaha DS950 Drum Throne with Backrest could be considered the "Cadillac of drum thrones". Heavy weight, bench-style seat, double-braced wide stance legs, and screw height adjustment. Height adjusts from 18" to 25.6".

David used this throne in performances with Tower of Power starting in the 2000s. Like most of the gear in David's collection, this throne has been meticulously cared for and remains in excellent condition.
