1953 Martin D-18 Mystery Top with Rare Ebony Truss Rod! Ebony Truss Rod Martins from 1942-44 are very sought after and just a few(less than 100) were made in 1953 these special and sought after guitars are known for their superior tone, resonance and balance! If you don’t know about them Google Martin 1953 Mystery Top! This one sounds absolutely amazing! Very light construction, it has one previously repaired crack on top and a couple on the sides, I don’t see any on the back. They say the good ones get played and this one is a great one it shows a good amount of wear and patina but is structurally sound. It has had a recent neck reset and a refret(cost me $1500) which almost all of these usually need so this one has already been done! All else looks original! Plays great, sounds amazing! Comes with non original hard case. I am currently in Austin with the guitar.
