McPherson 4.0 Camrielle 2011 - Gloss

I’m a 68 year old acoustic guitar lover that has been playing since I could walk. I’m not a collector but I have owned some really nice guitars. This McPherson is hands down the finest. The only reason I am selling it is arthritis has progressed to the point that my fingers don’t do what I want anymore. This guitar deserves to be played.

From what I know I am the fourth owner of this guitar. I obtained this guitar early in 2023 and it was obvious that it had been a case queen. It is in new condition and was very tight when I got it.  At the time I was playing weekly on a worship team at church and with practice, rehearsal and services I was playing a lot. When I wasn’t playing it, I had it on a Dr. Herringbone Tone Traveler in my humidity and temperature controlled studio. Acoustically, this opened the guitar up beautifully. The Tone Traveler simulates playing the guitar for hundreds of hours without any fret wear or playing fatigue.

This Camrielle came from the factory with 3 hand shaped bone saddles, low, medium and high. These saddles are cut specifically for each individual guitar and match the guitars serial number. I reduced the high saddle to 12th Fret LowE 1.75 millimeters and HighE 1.5 millimeters. The neck is perfect and the action is perfect for fingerstyle. The playability is second to none with no buzz. You can change the saddle if you prefer a higher action. I chose to reduce the high saddle believing that not many players prefer that high of an action.

This is serial number 1941 and is Mcpherson’s third ever Camrielle model. The Engleman Spruce over Madagascar Rosewood (Madrose) is smooth and warm with rich definition throughout. The factory installed Baggs Element pickup system is perfect. Sound engineers have told me it’s the best sounding acoustic plugged in that they have ever heard. I am not a professional guitarist but the two we have on our team agree. This guitar is magnificent!
