S.E. Shires Custom Series Medium Bore Trombone 2017 - Yellow Brass/Gold Brass

Near-mint condition Shires custom medium bore (.525) trombone. This trombone has been my workhorse since 2017 and is beautifully playing and sounding horn. As a medium bore with interchangeable lead pipes, it is extremely versatile. I've comfortably played this horn in a variety of commercial settings including bigband, funk, rock, and latin but it also works great as a chamber horn and I've plated it in concert bands and brass quintets. The horn shows sings of normal wear and tear. There is some normal wearing of the lacquer on the hand-slide in addition to too tiny (almost imperceptible) dents, one on the bell and the other on the tubing of the bell section. They are shown in the pictures, but so small they are hard to notice unless you are really looking for them. The slide works perfectly. You can't beat a Shires slide. They're the best of any instrument I've played. The horn comes with three lead pipes, 2 small shank pipes sizes 1.5 and 2.0 and a large shank 2.0. The bell is removable and Shires does make an F-attachment section for their custom medium bores if you ever decided you wanted to add that to the horn. Bell is a 8" yellow brass with yellow brass tuning slide and tuning. Hand slide is lightweight gold brass with a nickel silver crook. Absolutely beautiful horn all around. The case has some cosmetic damage on the exterior from 7+ years on the road with me as a military musician but the case functions perfectly. I just had an ultrasonic cleaning done on the instrument so it is totally ready to go. Asking $3000. I'm also offering free shipping.
