Custom Metallic Grey Strat Style HSS. Genuine Mahogany & Flame Maple Binding.

Up for sale is a Strat style guitar made from Honduran Mahogany (also known as Genuine Mahogany) and Flame Maple. I handmade the body in the style of a vintage Strat with old school tools like Fender builders used to do back in the early days, pairing it with a Fender American Professional II neck. With its satin nitro finish, rolled edges and Deep C carve, it is one of my favorite Fender necks.

The top is sprayed with a grey metallic paint, then finished with nitro lacquer. The mahogany back is finished with a hand rubbed oil, and the edges of the flame maple top have been left unpainted to show off the natural binding, which I dyed to look like tortoise. The natural mahogany back will become more beautiful as it ages.

The pickups are by Tom Anderson. The neck and middle are VA7s which give a lovely, vintage tone and the bridge is a HF2, a vintage medium-hot PAF style pickup.

The hardware is all Gotoh, and includes their vintage style tuners and tremolo, jack plate and neck plate, all in relic nickel/chrome.

The wiring is similar to the classic 5-way Stratocaster setup but uses a humbucker in the bridge position. Position 2 auto splits the humbucker (slug coil).

The guitar comes shipped in a Fender FE620 gig bag.

If you love the classic strat look, but want something a bit more boutique at an incredible price, I think you'll love this guitar. I use the best wood, pickups and parts I can get my hands on, and do my best to create something unique while still paying homage to the G.O.A.T.
