Check out this unique and very rare piece from the 20's! Stamped #5330 on the head block, The unusual triangle shape and green celluloid binding sets this instrument apart from anything I've seen before. It is also a fantastic sounding soprano Ukulele. Bright, yet warm and projecting tone from this little thing! The beautifully figured mahogany under the aged finish, paired with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard gives this instrument striking looks and rich tones visually as well. The finish is in good shape with a few areas of blemishes that I have tried to make very visible in the photos. The Shrine was introduced by Lyon & Healy, the parent company of Washburn, in 1928, just slightly after the peak of the ukulele’s Jazz Age popularity. This lovely little uke comes with the original triangular hard case. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions.
Thank you.
