Eko guitars, made in Italy, are the most successful in Europe, with over 100,000 sold since their introduction in 1959. Their 12-strings - built to last - are particularly favored.
This is an Eko Navajo 12 from the late 1960s—it is a step below the Ranger XII in quality. Spruce top, mahogany back & sides, walnut fretboard. Tailpiece.
Some chips on the headstock, and surface cracks in the lacquer (see top of body behind neck [photo]) but playing isn’t affected … nor tuning. End pin missing. AND the first string wants to escape its notch on the saddle.
Consistent with a guitar this old -over 60 years - the action is rather high (see last photos): 1/8 at first fret, 1/4” at seventh fret, 3/8” at twelfth fret.
Unless you like high action - or play slide - the guitar needs a neck reset.
