2023 Grez Guitars Mendocino - Serial #2308J

Just in! This gorgeous Mendocino was built last year in the Grez home of Petaluma, CA. Quoted as being the only example built with this cool black top and TV Jones SuperTron pickup complement- it is a unique take on an already distinctive model!

Every Mendocino begins with a chambered Mahogany body and old growth Redwood top. These guitars always plant themselves right around the 5 pound mark, making them a friend to shoulders everywhere. Even with the different pickup option and a replaced bridge and tailpiece- this one still lands right at 5 pounds on the nose. The original control knobs and TonePros AVR bridge are included, however the original tailpiece is missing. We think the thumbwheel bridge adds a bit of extension to the Gretsch feeling this guitar evokes, but the old bridge is a direct drop-in if you prefer the tune-o-matic style. It is a strummer as well as a lead guitar powerhouse with tons of sustain, body, and bite.

The finish shows some wear on the top- no major dings, dents, or chips- just surface scratching and the like. Most of which could likely be buffed out with a little elbow grease. Frets are tip top and show little signs of use.
