London Power Session 50 amplifier 2000's - Black

Top end build by Kevin O’Connor of London Power in Ontario - the inventor of power scaling. It’s a rack mountable head that accepts any normal power and preamp tubes without re biasing. It has a lot of interesting controls that you don’t normally see. It can run single ended, push pull or anywhere between the two. Fixed or cathode biasing, fx loop can run series or parallel. Pentode or triode switchable. It can also run any speakers.

This head also has power scaling; SE/PP switch is an infinitely variable control between single ended class A operation and push pull class AB. Here is an explanation of the match switch that was given to me, in case you’re interested.... The Match switch changes the impedance setting on the output transformer. O’Connor is a big proponent of the idea that the impedance setting can be used like another tone control, ie you may like the sound of a 16ohm setting into your 8ohm cab better than 8 into 8, and tubes are really tolerant of mismatches, unlike solid state. 

This is a now discontinued model; would be around $4k now if available. London Power build very few units and primarily sell parts and kits. Comes with two NOS USA Philips 7581 tubes with very few hours on them. Thanks for looking! Returns Not Accepted.
