A very nice condition Ibanez MIJ Vintage Series 981 acoustic for grabs.
These 981's were made from 1976-1977 per Ibanez. This particular model number is very hard to find. I haven't even been able to find a for sale or previously sold listing of one anywhere on the internet. There are similar years and models but not this exact one.
It's definitely been well taken care of and was always kept in a case. 1 original owner.
Select solid Spruce top. Mahogany back and sides. Black binding. Top & soundhole have white/black purfling. Original deluxe smooth-tuning machine heads.
Plays great. Has a low action. Straight neck. No issues at neck joint. Great tone and projection. Very fun & easy to fingerpick on as well.
Hardly any signs of use other than some light fretboard and pickguard wear.
Fully playable as-is. Could use some fresh strings but I'll leave that up to the new owners preference. Comes safely, securely packed, insured and in a vintage light-duty hard case.
