This neck could be really cool for a project, but needs work before it will be viable to use. I believe it to be from 1978 based on the heel stamp. Most of the finish is missing from the back and sides of the neck, but the headstock face is intact with the exception of some chipping around the tuner holes. I’m not sure if the headstock face has been refinished/oversprayed, but to my eyes it looks period correct. The wood on this neck is very pretty with lots of small birdseye figuring throughout.

The neck has a noticeable backbow and will likely need heat treatment to straighten out. One of the 12th feet inlays has damage from attempted heat treatment. The fretboard edges have also been rounded over quite substantially. If you have any questions or would like more pictures, please do not hesitate to ask.
