Here is a really cool Ibanez 2461 Johnny Smith style archtop! This Brown Sunburst guitar is in good shape overall with an upgraded DeArmond Rhythm Chief floating neck pickup.

Specs include an arched spruce top, curly maple back, maple neck, and ebony fretboard. It has split block inlays, a 24 3/4" scale, 12" Radius, and 1 11/16" nut width.

Essentially the wood and finish are original with this one but the parts are changed. The tailpiece is a finger style unit with fine adjusters. The bridge appears to be a competently carved ebony replacement. The electronics and pickguard are changed, with the DeArmond now in place at the neck. The tuners are changed to a set of Grover Imperials, the truss rod cover is changed to a brass part, the nut is changed and the guitar has been refretted. It is in good playing condition with small dings and scratches over its surface, and some small notable chips around the body edges. There is one area on the back near the end pin that appears to have been repaired.

The guitar weighs 7lbs 14oz. The neck measures .890 to 1.020 at the 1st and 9th frets. It's a modern C profile down low that fattens subtly up the register. The guitar has a nice acoustic tone with plenty of sustain and clarity. It's warm and round while still having definition to single notes. The top drives easily and the neck feels really nice. Overall it is a high quality Japanese instrument that plays great with some nicely upgraded components.
