Late 1920's or early 1930's Regal Tenor Guitar Style Number 80 in good condition with beautiful 'satin mahogany' finish. Guitar has low action and plays great with the strings ringing out clearly through the 9th fret. There is some buzzing past the 9th fret. Neck feels great and is very clean. There is handsome finish wear throughout the guitar, with the most visible wear on the back of the neck, as well as the back of the guitar as detailed in the photos. There are no significant blemishes. The bridge, Bell Brand tailpiece and friction tuners appear to be original. Friction tuner tightening screws all work properly and require adjustment occasionally. Binding is in good shape and the neck joint is solid. There is a slight misalignment with the guitar back and sides at the bottom of the lower bout that does not affect sound or playability.
I've included a picture of the 1928 advertisement for the guitar that indicates the style (model) number, as well as finish and material details.
