Civil War Era 1850's 60s Parlor Guitar Ice Cream Cone Heel Martin 2 1/2 Size X braced

Mid 1800's civil war era parlor guitar, ice cream cone heel, sized very very similar to a Martin 2 1/2:

lower bout 3 5/8 deep, 11 1/2 wide

upper bout 3 3/8 deep, 8 1/4 wide

36 1/2 long

17 3/4 body length

24 1/2 scale length

1 13/16 nut width

3 1/2 soundhole

No markings of maker- if there was a paper label, it fell off long ago, and under the soundboard there have been some crack repairs so the makers name may have gotten sanded off.

Guitar is in remarkably good condition considering it's age- this was an old guitar in 1910! This thing is so old it could have belonged to Jimmie Rodgers grandfather! (both of his grandfathers did fight in the civil war for the south). I'm obviously guessing the age, due to the construction features, it could be 1850- 1860 or maybe 1870's too, but regardless- it's very very old. A museum piece you can play.

A few repaired cracks behind the bridge and around the neck. Neck angle is good- it's not a project, it's playable with good action. Solid one piece flame maple back. X braced. Straight across ladder style brace right below sound hole, then an X to the bridge area.

Coffin case has loose handle, but it's included and could be reattached.
