Up for sale, a 1985 Fender Stratocaster ‘72 vintage reissue model ST72-55 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, this early “Made in Japan” Strat has an A-prefix serial on the neck plate, featuring a sleek look with a gloss Black finish and black plastics. This Stratocaster was produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, uncommon outside its country of origin.
The trio of ST-Current alnico magnet single coils deliver classic Strat tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch: the neck pickup has a bell-like chime and warmth, the bridge position yields sparkling twang, and the “in-between” positions have a hollow quack. This Stratocaster weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
