for sale is a Blue, string-thru, hardtail mahogany explorer. ESP neck plate, neck screws and all attached hardware are included. Imho superb light wear patina. The chrome is in good condition. I would just describe the color as a muscle-car metallic blue similar to a 1969 Chevy Marina Blue. Camaro/chevelle. The body is solid mahogany with no visible joints. It appears to have primer under fairly thin layers of gloss blue paint Which appears to be original. I don’t see a thick clear coat like budget guitars use. I see no chips or dents that affect the actual wood.
The routing and craftsmanship is top notch. The neck plate fits into the indentations like a glove which leads me to believe this is quite possibly an original ESP.
Included are some mock up pictures with pick ups and a neck. Unfortunately, the neck is a little too narrow for the saddle spacing on the bridge. A bridge with more narrow saddle spacing would be needed. I have the neck for sale as well.
I did not want to alter anything on this body myself.
It accepted the 21 fret 25.5” scale neck like a glove. strings were lined up with a little room to adjust tilt. But the saddle spacing was too wide.
Standard Measurements for neck pocket.
Round end Heel W 2-1/8”, L 3”, D 11/16”
Body is 1-5/8 thick
Bridge spacing E to e =2-1/4”
Weighs close to 8lbs
