I love these little interfaces. They always come in handy just when you need them, but instead of having to settle for a mediocre recording, you can use this one, which is professionally modded and has a far cleaner sound for both input and output. It avoids the problem where the signal is very faintly present in the USB ground. All the upgrades leave original functionality including monitor switch intact 100%. It has a stable high-quality voltage reference, more robust power cap, and hand selected variety of audio caps for best sound. I've modded dozens of these and prefer a modded UCA202/222 to most DACs up to about $150. The sound quality for both recording and listening is significantly improved over a stock UCA202/222.
