Here is a vintage set of Rogers early 60's Cleveland-era drums, sized 14x20", 9x13" and 16x16" with a matching 5x14" snare drum. This set is largely in great player grade condition with a few exceptions; 32 to be exact. Sounds like a lot, but with these B&B lug kits, the issues with the lugs should all be noted. Many of the large B&B lugs on this set have stress fractures in their casings, which they were known to do. This set is still playable with these stress fractures as you will see in our video demo, but they could eventually fail 1 at a time. We are including 15 replacement large lugs with this set for this reason - its next owner can choose which lugs are in the most need of being swapped out, if any. I'll write more details on these lugs with individual drum info below, but the rest of this set is in nice shape and looks extremely clean from just a few steps back and sounds excellent! NOTE: This set has the earlier “flatter” bearing edges. As a result, while the sets sounds great, the flatter edges narrow the tuning range a good bit. So, within the “sweet spot” the drums sound great, but the sweet spot isn’t as wide as it would be with the later 45 degree edges.

14x20" - Holiday No. 15404. All of the lug casings on this drum exhibit stress fractures. The is some minor bubbling in the wrap behind some of the lugs, but only one instance where it has split the wrap, resulting in a small lift behind that lug. (pictured; this lug is on the resonant side of the bass drum in line with the retracting cymbal post mount.)

9x13" - Holiday No. 19477. No cracked lugs. There is one spot of oxidization on one lug and on the wrap behind it, but this is isolated. Two close-up pictures included, one of the oxidization (resonant side), and one of the batter side lug immediately above, unaffected.

16x16" - Holiday No. 24520. 9 cracked B&B casings; 7 on the resonant side and 2 on the batter.

5x14" - Holiday No. 15603. 3 cracked B&B lug casings - right of the tone control knob, right of the butt-plate, and right of the badge.
