Hello and thank you so much for taking the time and effort to view my item. This guitar does not have one single cosmetic blemish on it other than the repair that I made. As seen in the photos, the guitar is less than a year and a half old and, I purchased it from music 123. The plastic is still on the Pick guard as well as The equalizer. There is no fret wear on any of the first five frets, nor any of the frets for that matter. This instrument 100% has less than maybe 10 hours of playing time on it and that is being generous.
If you have not done an apprenticeship under a seasoned Luthier, or have had no schooling whatsoever when it comes to professional guitar repair and restoration, please avoid trying to do upgrades that could potentially affect the integrity of the instrument. Don’t think you can just watch YouTube video and get it done. Just don’t do it. Pay someone who knows how to do it and you will never have to experience what the original buyer to this guitar had to experience.
When the original buyer purchased the instrument, he tried to install a Tusq nut without any previous experience in performing intensive Luthier work. Truly foolish indeed. As seen in the photos, he filed the nut cavity down about a 16th of an inch too much. I have been playing guitar for almost 30 years. During the course of this time I have Worked on every single one of my instruments and have done a lot of professional Luthier work for myself and others. Not so much as a profession, but as a passion and a hobby. I can read music, write music, compose music, teach guitar as well as music theory. I teach rhythm as well as lead very core progressions, picking, as well as the Pentatonix scales and harmonics. I taught beginner, intermediate, and advanced guitar as well as a music appreciation in Camden, Alabama for almost 10 years. I Also did all of the professional luthier work as well as antique guitar and firearm restoration around my small town. Just to be modest, I have a ton of experience with working on acoustic guitars. I am extremely passionate about woodworking and have a creative spirit. When I received the instrument, they said that it would probably never play again, but that’s an amateur mindset. I do love a challenge, but what I love more is getting something like this and Putting my heart and soul into it in order to see the instrument reach its full potential once again.
The first thing I did was made inspected the damage to make damn sure that the gap wasn’t too deep, meaning, I wasn’t going to buy the instrument unless I knew for sure that the damage occurred during the butchery didn’t affect the integrity of the joint in the neck Which would leave the neck vulnerable and utterly destroy the intonation. Then I began applying professional quality wood filler To the precise depth. I installed a brass plate to make sure that the resonance and sustain would be nothing less than perfect before installing a high-quality brass roller nut. I also took the factory plastic bridge pins out and replaced them with high-quality brass bridge pins with abalone inlay. I installed a brand new String Butler and also a brand new pair of top-notch gold tone Hipshot tuners! I also bought a Gator journeyman, hard shell acoustic electric guitar case, and it fits beautifully. Nice and snug. The color is cream white with blue crushed velvet interior And screams quality. As seen in the photos, this guitar case was almost 200 bucks and is brand new. It has all of the original paperwork it came with as well as the inspection And checklist as well As the keys in case you need to lock it up during a trip or gig. I installed a brand new pair of medium gauge Elixir nanoweb guitar strings. The original receipt for the guitar is there as well as the original Takamine owners manual. As seen in the photo, the guitar was almost $900 by itself. The string Butler cost $75. I’m including a brand new fender guitar strap as well. It was 15 bucks. There’s also the gold town hipshot tuners with universal mounting plate. They were 100 bucks for the set. The bridge pins were $20. The brass roller nut was $25. The strings were $15. Also included our three Jim Dunlop medium gauge nylon guitar picks. The retail value of this lot is nearly $1500.
As far as the sound, there is no words I can use to describe how heavenly this instrument sounds now. It’s so heavenly. I actually have a tak pro and it actually sounds a little better. The only reason I am selling this guitar and keeping the pro is because of the value of the two instruments. Not the quality of the sound because I can tell you now that this G series will fool you a few let it. It’s incredible. I set it up Myself and the action is incredible. Just lovely. Nice and smooth and easy on the fingers with no string buzz at all. Every note comes through nice and clear and plays even better through an amplifier. The intonation is perfect. Just pristine. There is not one visible scratch on the body or neck of this entire guitar. Other than the simple repair. With a little love and dedication and passion, anything can be restored. The only step that I have not completed on the repair is the paint on both sides of the repair. I have a special high-quality paint that I ordered, but it won’t be here for another week or so, but you can touch it up yourself or I will send you a link and You can do the finish yourself. it doesn’t need it. This guitar is fully functional and playable and has too many incredible upgrades to list. This listing will not be available. Don’t miss out.
