Yeah, you see where I'm going with the "Hide Your Sheep" header, right? Yep, straight to David Petschulat, Eddie Van Halen, and #13. "Hide Your Sheep" is in reference to Van Halen's 1982 Diver Down tour that spawned the hit "Little Guitars." But the story behind the story is an accidental meeting between a little-known luthier and Eddie Van Halen on the backstreets of Nashville.
Petschulat (for the less enlightened) was the creator of that pint-sized Les Paul on which King Edward performed that song, which brings me here to this Robin Ranger.
Ed was no stranger to inserting something different in to color his sound. Maybe you catch my drift on such. How's that? You can't achieve that sound in your head? Maybe an electrified mandolin through a Marshall is just what the doctor ordered, and this is the guitar for it. As for the guitar itself?
It looks like Lake Placid. The condition? Excellent, of course, and the hard-shell case is surprisingly there and also in excellent condition as well. The frets and neck are good. No worries there. The nut width is 1 9/16 and as we discussed, this is a guitar made to play an octave higher than you standard affair. Diamond Dave, I'm so honored; how's that?
Catch as catch, catch as catch can.
When I see you and your little guitars sing to me.
Well, first Dave, they need a "little guitar," then maybe they can "catch as catch can" and that Señorita will just adore you when your little guitar sings. Don't they all?
