Looking to start an audio journal? Looking to experiment with spoken word poetry in a DIY/lo-fi medium? Recording an oral history of your family tree?
This Sony TCM-818 Cassette Player/Recorder is the tape machine for you. It has 1 internal speaker, a microphone input (microphone included), tape counter, and performs all functions well.
This player was primarily intended for voice recordings when it was designed in the 80s, so it plays and records in mono, and is optimized for human voice frequencies. You can still use it to record and play music, but it might sound a little boxy compared to other players/recorders geared toward musicians.
Power cord included, but also runs on C batteries. Also has an original manual, how rare is that?
