Vintage dbx 5BX-DS Dynamic Range Expander – From My Private Collection

Up for sale is a dbx 5BX-DS Dynamic Range Expander from my personal collection. This unit has been meticulously maintained and cared for, and it’s in excellent working condition. If you're familiar with the dbx brand, you know that this 5-band expander is a true gem, capable of breathing new life into any audio system.
It's incredibly useful for tapes and vinyl LPs, even radio, bringing the sound to life and making it more engaging. I use it with my Nakamichi Dragon deck and Akai GX-747.

Highlights:

• Condition: Tested and fully functional, with all lights, buttons, and controls in working order.
• Cosmetics: Very clean overall, but please be aware that some marks and scratches and and color fading may be present due to its age and previous use.
• Sound Quality: Delivers the dynamic range and depth that dbx is renowned for – ideal for audiophiles who demand the best.
• Memory battery replaced  A new Swiss-made Renata memory battery has been installed, replacing the old one.
• Rack ears installed

No guarantees are made regarding its functionality or any other specifications.

The original 5bx remote shown in the picture is for demonstration purposes only and is not included. A new programmed remote will be shipped instead. Rack ears have been added and are included in this sale.  Please note, the remote two AAA battery is not included for safety shipping reasons.
