The Techno Synth Construction Yard (TSCY) ROM is one of the original Sound ROM Expansion Boards E-MU included inside the Orbit-3 rack-mount synth. The other Sound ROM that was included was the Beat Garden. Although the Orbit-3 is one of the rarest and most valuable of the P2K-era E-MU synthesizers, you can have all the sounds from the Orbit-3 by adding both the Techno Synth Construction Yard ROM and the Beat Garden ROM to your synth. Or you can have HALF of the sounds from the Orbit-3 by adding just ONE of these Orbit-3 ROMs to your synth. Note: Fully Working / Good condition Orbit-3 synthesizers with both the TSCY and the Beat Garden ROM still installed are now selling for over $1000. Of course, the ROMs are the most valuable part(s) of the Orbit-3.

This Expansion Board is compatible with E-MU Proteus-2000-class synthesizers (BUT THERE MUST BE AN EMPTY SLOT AVAILABLE TO INSTALL THIS BOARD INTO). This includes rack-module synthesizers, command-station / drum machine synths, and Keyboard synths. Examples: Proteus 2000, Proteus 1000, Xtreme Lead-1 (XL-1), Mo'Phatt, Virtuoso 2000, B-3 (B3), Orbit 3, Planet Earth, Vintage Pro, MP-7, XL-7, PX-7, Proteus 2500, PK-6, MK-6, XK-6 Xtreme Keys, Ensoniq Halo, and Vintage Keys Keyboard (but NOT the Rackmount "Vintage Keys" from the mid-1990s).
