For sale is a 1988 Dobro roundneck resonator guitar made when quality control was still top notch…before the 90’s debacle with Gibson. It is in fantastic shape with very light patina on the coverplate and slight finish checking on the top and back…looks way cool! There aren’t even any meaningful nicks/dings to speak of. I just had a “Pick Up the World” pickup installed by my luthier. It is set-up for both slide and finger picking with the action set around 7.5/64ths on the low e string at the 12th fret…plenty of room on the saddle to lower if desired. The neck is in great shape as well.
I’ve played quite a few of these over the years and this one stands out from the rest as a first class instrument…not cheap feeling like some of the later models. Comes with what appears to be the original hard shell case.
I have photographed/described this guitar as accurately as possible. Set-up is personal preference which may require some adjustments to fit yours if it isn’t already to your liking. Please do not purchase if you aren’t sure you want it…I am an individual seller, not a store.
Thanks for looking!
