Quick notes:

1 — This instrument is consigned.

2 — It’s all done up and it's ready to go unless otherwise noted!

3 — I usually ship in 2-3 days but sometimes can get backed-up if a lot of orders come in at once. I like to make sure I have time to check the setup, restring if the strings are tired, and make any adjustments needed before shipping. If you need faster shipping, please make me aware!

4 — Please read the following text for full details and specs -- it's borrowed from my original blog post on it...

Overview: This violin is unmarked but it's likely a German-import model from the early '30s judging by its features. Interestingly, when Andy planed the fingerboard, he found it to have been a dark-stained bit of cherry that, when cleaned-up and sealed, looked quite fetching "natural." The pegs and nut are likewise cherry or maple, too.

Tone: It has a lovely, warm, husky sound that's excellent for double-stops and Cajun-sounding fills. It will do tunes nicely, too, but may have too much of a mellow/warm sound for bluegrass and classical players. It's certainly loud-enough to jam with, though!

Feel: It's got a quick, easy neck and handles fast.

Interesting features: As noted, the cherry fingerboard is a neat swaperoo. It also has a medium-orange, faded finish to it with a cool-looking dark rosin deposit stain right under the bridge. It's definitely been played-in!

Repairs included: Andy gave it a neck reset, seam repairs, crack repairs planed the board, fit a new bridge, fit a new tailpiece and replacement chinrest, and set it up. It's lightweight and plays spot-on and is ready to go.

Condition notes: It's definitely got some mild-medium usewear/scratches and playwear throughout, with the ugliest bit being the rosin deposit on the top. Some parts are older (pegs and chinrest) while the 4-fine-tuners tailpiece and bridge are new.

It comes with: Sorry, no official case -- but I will see if I have a spare to put it in before shipping.
