- Amp Case Condition: This amp case is super cool! The fabric grille looks good free of any tears, but there is a good amount of discoloration in the fabric (this merely adds to the vintage vibe). The gold latches all show signs of corrosion and marks throughout, with only two out of 3 functioning as expected. The front face of the case has some white marks in the blue finish grouped around the center, and the bottom edge of the Tolex is lifting at the seam all throughout the case, but you can notice it at the front bottom left corner just near the fabric grille. The lid opens and closes as expected, but there are black marks on the left side as well as some of the Tolex lifting at the seams of the corners. The handle has marks from use, but functions as expected, and the gold brackets show signs of corrosion much like the latches. The hinges are in similar condition, but they show a bit more discoloration than the rest of the metal pieces on the case. The left and right sides have some light marks throughout including some cracking in the old finish material. The backside features more white marks in the Tolex from aging all throughout, particularly around the openings to the right side. The badge is near unreadable due to the amount of corrosion, and some of the Tolex is beginning to lift at the seams of the openings, particularly around the fuses. The bottom side has good amount of blemishes from handling, but nothing that would negatively impact functionality. Internally there isn't much to talk about; it is all exposed wood with little means to protect the guitar inside, but a simple towel or some cushion can fix this! The guitar fits as expected, but the case does not instill confidence that it can protect the guitar so we will be sure to package and ship with extra care! The amp itself has signs of age all throughout, but functions as expected and sounds great! Then you remember this is an amp that is pushing 80 years old and fits inside of a guitar case alongside a guitar; factor those in, and I can confidently say this is an amazing sounding case!
- Guitar Condition: This is a great little guitar! Please note that the Tremolo switch is functioning, but it is a very subtle effect that requires you to pull on the switch the entire way before you actually notice the volume modulate, and when the volume does modulate it is fairly faint. The guitar body has scrapes and scratches all throughout; the top features blemishes all along the bass side's edge, the pickguard is cracked in several spots as well as slightly discolored, and the control knobs show some light blemishes from use, but all function as expected. The pickups have black residue along the tops as well as light marks all throughout from playing. The gold tailpiece has some of the finish chipped off with signs of patina throughout. The upper bout of the bass side has light dings and scratches in the body, but nothing stands out in isolation. There are heavy scrapes and a lot of cosmetic wear along the sides; please check out photos as there is cosmetic wear everywhere you look. The back is in similar condition with scrapes in the finish all over, scratches and bucklerash along the center, light dings around the edges and lower bout, some small chips around the cutaway, and scratches all along the cavity cover. The neck is straight with finish chips all throughout, none of which impact playability. The fretboard is clean and the frets are polished; the frets themselves show a good deal of play marks, but there is still life left in them as there isn't any fret that requires repair! The headstock is in similar condition to the body: there are light scrapes and chips in the finish throughout, particularly along the edges. The tuning machines show some discoloration and marks from use, but they all function as expected. This is a great guitar and amp case combination, but because they are vintage instruments with plenty of years of use under their belts, there may be a blemish I failed to note, so please check out photos! All electronics have been tested and are in working condition. Everything which is included is pictured and ready to be professionally packed and shipped.
