1960's P-5 Airline Swingmaster Barney Kessel Archtop and Back Flames - Natural Finish

Hey Gang! Another Classic Airline Barney Kessel up for grabs. This three-pickup version of the Airline Swingmaster Barney Kessel offers increased tonal versatility, making it a great choice for players looking for a wide range of sounds.

Cosmetic Condition:

In great shape for its age, it shows only mild play wear, including a few, dents, and dings, with a few surface scratches and weather checking. Overall, the guitar has a beautiful patina and looks fantastic.

Neck:

The neck features a soft V shape made of maple with nicely aged cream binding. The rosewood fingerboard has beautiful mother-of-pearl shield inlays. While the frets show some wear, but have plenty of life left. It includes Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons, a 1 11/16" nut width, and a 26" scale length.

Body:

This model showcases a double Florentine cutaway, hollow maple body with a single F-hole. It is bound on the top and back, and the celluloid pickguard complements its elegance. The trapeze tailpiece is paired with an adjustable, floating rosewood bridge.

Electronics:

Equipped with three "Kleenex box" single-coil pickups, the guitar features a 3-way selector switch along with volume and tone controls for each pickup, all operated by clear "top hat" knobs.
