This extremely rare time capsule early custom shop SG is one of very few SG Les Paul 3 pickup customs made in Cherry red during this era and this one is essentially brand new.

This guitar comes out of a large Gibson collection where it has remained in it‘s case for almost 20 years. The guitar itself has no real signs of play wear with the hardware remaining clear without scratches and the finish without checking or playwear. the back plastic guard even still has its protective coating on it. There is no fret wear and the guitar functions perfectly without scratchy pots. I don’t see anything that really stands out as far as dings go, the guitar really looks like it was made yesterday. The only thing I notice is the tip of the pearl vibrola has cracked on the inside. think this is from age and doesn’t affect it’s usability.

This finish is breathtaking, it’s so rich and looks crystal clear. The aniline dye has sunk into the binding in many areas as it would be expected to.

The guitar really wasn’t played and while it’s phenomenal, i’d recommend a set up, though it has no issues as it is.

The guitar comes with its original COA and case candy. The case is also in good condition.
