Electromuse was a Chicago-based company that manufactured primarily lap steel guitars in the 40's and 50's in order to capitalize on the popularity of Hawaiian style music. The owner estimates that this lap steel is from the 50's and features their "Eye Beam" pickup -- which sounds a little unpleasant -- but works quite well. The photos show that the nut appears mis-aligned, but that's where it wants to be for the strings to line up properly (not everything from the old days was better). But it plays well, the electronics work as intended, and there are no objectionable marks, dings or dents. A fun piece of usable history. No bag or case included.
