Up for sale is a Hafler DH-110 stereo preamplifier that has been fully restored with top shelf audio grade capacitors from Nichicon and best in class Panasonic capacitors. Most of the caps are Nichicon Muse ES bipolar capacitors (the green ones). These are the best for distortion out of any capacitor made, Muse is Nichicon’s top series and bipolar capacitors have the best distortion performance out of electrolytic capacitor types. Two of the caps are Nichicon FG which are a step below Muse KZ caps (KZ are very large and may not have fit on the board). The rest are Panasonic FM and not in the signal path, they have better ripple current and ESR compared to Nichicon’s equivalents, HE or PM. Top shelf replacement parts and the soldering is excellent. No noise from the controls whatsoever.
Sounds marvelous with my Harman Kardon Citation 16 amp which I also have for sale.
