VINTAGE SELMER-MACCAFERRI STYLE GUITAR - CHRIS ECCLESHALL 1973 "PARIS JAZZ" DJANGO/ GYPSY JAZZ/ MANOUCHE LUTHIER-MADE SELMER "SPECIALE" TYPE - Exceptional European Spruce & Sonokeling Rosewood guitar by Iconic UK maker, whose instruments Mario Maccaferri's Approved. Oval Hole Long Scale model so often seen in Django photos. Savarez Argentine strings.

*** Finally the result of long-running collaboration with Colin Keefe, Luthier, has brought this fantastic and historic guitar back to life, and available for sale.

*** Extract from Eccleshall Guitars website details for the "Paris Jazz" model, still available up to the time of Chris' untimely passing in 2020......"'Maccaferri' style....oval sound hole. Exact replica of 'Speciale'. Chris' faithful versions of these historic instruments have been approved by Mario Maccaferri."

*** This is a rare opportunity to get hold of one of Chris's early pieces & as such must command a serious resale price. It plays and sounds exceptionally well, with a low action and fabulous tone.

*** The top is European Spruce and the back and sides are Sonokeling which is an Indonesian Rosewood quite often plantation grown so it has broader colour range and being a little less hard and heavy.
