The Iconic Gibson L-1 Flat Top, made famous by Robert Johnson! The original L-1s were only produced from 1926-1937 and were first reissued in 1991. By the late 1990s Gibson replaced the series with the Robert Johnson signature model, which featured some mods from the original design.

This model was purchased Brand New and has only had a single owner, lightly played, and has been untouched for the last 30 years, a true Closet Classic! No dings, dents, repairs, or scratches. A little finish checking from age and what might be some light pickmarks by the soundhole. Very Nearly Mint! Includes Original Vintage Brown Hardshell Case. Case has some light ageing on the latches but works like new.

These guitars were crafted in the Montana shop and were hand built using the same techniques as the original offering.

- Small body L-style guitar with a circular lower bout, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, round soundhole with two-stripe rosette, top and back binding, mahogany neck, 12/19-fret bound ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, black headstock overlay with "The Gibson" logo, three-per-side nickel tuners with plastic buttons, rosewood bridge with pyramid ends, white bridge pins, available in Vintage Sunburst finish, 13.5 in. body width, 24.75 in. scale, mfg. 1991-95.
