This is an Kay 5160 flat top from the mid 1960s with a built-in piezo transducer system. I received it in great condition cosmetically and structurally with only a few scratches, dings and dents that you would expect from a guitar that was played for 50 years, it also has screw holes through the back- evidence that it was once an actual wall hanger... but this guitar is in great shape!

This guitar didn’t need much to get it going; I gave the birch fretboard a fresh 12” radius and new Jescar 47104 frets and new vintage style tuners. The scale is 25-3/4” with the original 1-11/16" poly nut, a fixed internal trussrod and it has a large C carve- the action is low, it is very easy to play.

I installed a modern bridge piezo and preamp system - there is a variety of tone shaping controls and the output it quite powerful, it will work well with any type of amplifier and sounds great.

It also has the option of a rubber bridge or a typical wooden bridge (installed) that comes with it and can easily be swapped out; either works well with the on-board electronics and sounds very nice.

This guitar is built like a tank, dependable and gig ready, the action is low and easy, it plays and sounds fantastic!
