We don’t have an ElectroComp EML 101, but we had a chance to play one briefly at the Vintage Synthesizer Museum. It is a very cool synthesizer, with a great sound, but the filter changes volume and can sound thin and weak with certain settings. Not so much with this eurorack clone of the EML 101 circuitry. These two modules put the EML 101 in reach and in eurorack format. But about the EML 101’s temperamental filter—don’t rely on my fading memory, just watch the video posted in the photos section of this listing. You’ll hear our EML 200 oscillators running through this filter and VCA/ringmod, and it sounds EXCELLENT. It’s no longer in production, so this might be your only chance.
We’re sick of gear everywhere, in the studio, at home, in drawers, on shelves, so we’re killing our darlings and sending our cows out to pasture.
