This 80s axe has been refreshed and professionally set up for super low action; you'll be hard pressed to find one that actually plays this well. It feels like a new guitar. Short list of what's been done:
-New coat of Gun Metal Blue (80s-90s Fender color option, but not available on the HM)
-Near mint Kahler Spyder with large fine tuners
-Fret leveling
-Tung oil finish for neck
The neck is very thin, comfortable, has been sanded smooth and resealed with tung oil and is free of dents. Original knobs, tap switch and TBX controls are all present with a Seymour Duncan Distortion in the bridge. It retains the feel of the original Super 3 with a little less hair and a little more versatility, and still pairs well with the TBX circuit. The Kahler is as close to immaculate as you can get for a late 80s tremolo and stays in tune through whammy abuse. This guitar is extremely clean and free of all the gunk that accumulates over the years. It really does feel like a new instrument.
The only flaws I can spot are a few tiny paint chips behind the tremolo, a chip on the lower neck pocket, and some slight orange peel that you can only see from a certain angle (and hard to capture). I uploaded pictures of these flaws, so have a look before deciding on anything.
