This one of a kind custom 41-style Parlor from Bourgeois Guitars was a showpiece this past August at the 2024 Fretboard Summit in Chicago, the small body 12-fret wonder is build with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with an Italian Spruce top and features the first ever wide multi-wood zigzag backstrip and wedge with hand done custom diamond plus Holly pyramid bridge and bindings. This might be small and sleek, but it is truly a powerhouse of tone in a small package.

Bourgeois’ smallest body style, the Victorian Parlor is not a travel guitar and not a toy. It has a full harmonic and dynamic voice in standard tuning, suitable for solo or ensemble work or vocal accompaniment. Like most Bourgeois models, the Victorian combines old and new designs. The smaller yet elongated 12-fret body is common of a mid 18th century design, but the longer 25″ scale (still considered a short scale for Bourgeois) is actually longer than those found on the classic counterpart. The Holly pyramid bridge and bindings are true to the style with diamond inlays as well. Serious players have used the Parlor to showcase a wide variety of playing styles but have only begun to scratch the surface of its possibilities.  Musicians like Sara Watkins, Ricky Skaggs, Ray LaMontagne, and Courtney Hartman to name a few all play them.

Features include colorful Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with sharp contrasting heartwood center, 41-style Abalone Pearl top border and rosette, English Holly pyramid bridge, English Holly full body, fretboard and headstock bindings, Abalone square and diamond inlays, Ebony fretboard, Mahogany neck, Waverly Nickel tuners with Ebony buttons, 1 3/4″ nut width 2 5/16″ saddle spacing and more.

The guitar has a bright tone, with clear mids and warm bass. Perfect for home, studio or stage, it’s distinct focused tone will cut through and be heard well with other instruments. If you always have wanted to get a Victorian Parlor, do not look any further.
