This is an extraordinary 1985 Brazilian rosewood body and western red cedar top nylon string guitar made by the highly esteemed luthier Kirk Sand of Laguna Beach, California who, sadly, passed away in March, 2024. Kirk Sand was a favourite guitar maker of Chet Atkins, Lenny Breau, Jerry Reed, Tommy Emmanuel and other greats. 25.5" (650 mm) scale length, 2" (50 mm) nut width, jet black flat fingerboard, full depth body. The top has some dings and touchups that do not affect in any way it's integrity. There are no electronics however the bottom rib button, that also matches the only inlay of a side marker at the 7th fret, could be removed to facilitate the installation of a pickup. The guitar has an exceptionally clear, articulate, deep, responsive voice. It has just been freshly restrung with D'Addario hard tension lightly polished strings and intonated. Included are the original tweed case, keys and Sand logo polishing cloth. Buyer pays actual shipping costs.
