Here we have a very nice vintage Epiphone Casino from 1961! This one was built in Kalamazoo, MI and features a fully hollow body and royal tan finish.

Similar to a Gibson ES-330T, this Epiphone E-230T model features a hollow maple body, mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fretboard. It has dot inlays, deluxe tuners, and an inlaid logo. This model has a trapeze tailpiece with ABR-1 bridge and a white multiply guard. This is a single P-90 version with one volume and one tone control.

The guitar is in very good shape. The tuners have been changed to modern units but the originals are included. The current tuners are a direct replacement. The E is missing from the pickguard unfortunately. The guitar appears to be original otherwise. There are light dings, surface marks and scratches over the instrument. The finish is worn lightly at the edge of the board, and there is light lacquer checking throughout. There is a long scratch and ding on the back of the neck. It doesn't appear to be an open crack. The neck is straight and the rod functions correctly.

The guitar weighs 5lbs 2oz. The neck measures .785 to .915 at the 1st and 12th. It has a classic slim ES C neck that fattens subtly up the register. The frets are in good shape with faint wear that doesn't affect playability. The guitar is warm and articulate with a traditional thinline hollow tone. It has nice resonance and sustain overall and really plays quite effortlessly up and down the neck.

This vintage piece has a great vibe. We're digging the royal tan finish as well as the lightly blistered maple top. Ships in a modern Gibson Custom Shop case and includes the original tuners.
