Beautiful Candy Apple Red fully bound Custom 1962 reissue Telecaster from Fender Japan (TL62B-TX). CAR always looks great on these guitars. It’s a CIJ R-Serial from 2004-05. It has a quality alder body with 3-ply pickguard, full cream body binding (that has already nicely yellowed), 3 spiral saddles, Fender stamped bridge plate and big sounding USA made factory Texas Special pickups. It’s from the CIJ period (‘Crafted in Japan’ on the back of the neck). It has a very dark and dense rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25 neck radius. The maple neck and headstock show some nice grain patterns too. It definitely looks the part. Sonically the USA built Texas Special pickups sound amazing. Plenty of bite and twang and a great Tele action. It is structurally and electrically sound. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. It’s pre-owned so does have a few signs of being played, a few bumps and little scuffs here and there, with a well worn-in patch of wear just below the bridge plate. Complete with original Fender Japan softcase which (as usual for this case) has broken zips. A very cool old top of the line '62 RI Fender CIJ Telecaster. It's well along the road to being a vintage classic.
